What is the RecoveryVerse

The RecoveryVerse is a joint venture of several peer-run community organizations, technology companies, and advocacy organizations.

As the first organized recovery community in the Metaverse, we create and manage virtual spaces that are available to the larger recovery community – individuals and organizations – for use in any way that may be engaging and helpful to our communities.

Our primary build is on FrameVR, with secondary builds exist on Meta’s Horizon Worlds and DecentraLand. These worlds offer event spaces, recovery meeting rooms, community centers, training worlds, and social hangouts.

We believe the Metaverse (via the RecoveryVerse) is the next evolution of digital recovery support as a true set of virtual options. We support our primary build on FrameVR (both virtual & digital metaverse), with companion spaces in Meta’s Horizon Worlds (virtual reality metaverse) and Decentraland (digital blockchain metaverse). All RecoveryVerse spaces offer different barriers to entry and opportunities to engage and by building in several, we ensure that we can serve more people on their terms and to their comfort levels.

FrameVR

Choose your device & Open your favorite browser

FrameVR is our primary RecoveryVerse build and can be accessed from a VR headset (we recommend the Apple VisionPro or Oculus 3), your computer, tablet, or smartphone. The experience can be slightly different with different devices, so be sure to test out each and find your favorite.

How It Works

Horizon Worlds

Purchase Headset & Download The Horizon Worlds App

Purchase a VR headset. We highly recommend the Oculus Quest 2. Open and setup your new VR headset by following the on screen instructions. Once you have set up your headset and created your avatar, search for the Horizons World application in the app store and install.

Find the RecoveryVerse Worlds

Download and install the brave browser for your computer. Once installed, download and install the Metamask wallet extension for the brave browser. (Note: this will download from the chrome store). Create your Metamask wallet (please store your seed phrase offline and privately).
